Who we are

The Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas (ULAA) is the umbrella organization representing Liberians and their communities across the Americas. Since 1974, we have worked to preserve culture, promote unity, and advocate for justice, human rights, and sustainable development, serving as the voice of Liberians at home and abroad.

Our Core Principles

ULAA is guided by fundamental principles that shape our mission and drive our commitment to serving Liberians across the Americas.

01

The Union shall promote and encourage efforts geared towards national reconciliation, integration and unification.

02

The Union shall preserve and protect positive aspects of Liberian culture, history and traditions, which are consistent with national development.

03

The Union shall mobilize and facilitate financial, material and human resources much needed by Liberians at home and abroad for their social and economic development.

“ULAA stands as a bridge between Liberians in the diaspora and our homeland. Its dedication to constitutional democracy, human rights, and national development reflects true leadership and service to the Liberian people.”

Patrick D. Freeman

“I am proud to be part of an organization that genuinely advocates for the rights and well-being of Liberians everywhere. ULAA’s work in promoting unity, protecting our heritage, and empowering communities has made a lasting impact on many lives.”

Martha L. Williams

“ULAA has been a powerful unifying force for Liberians across the Americas. Through its commitment to reconciliation, cultural preservation, and democratic values, ULAA continues to give Liberians a strong collective voice both at home and abroad.”
